Gunia maize ball

£20.00

Two things about this ball. It contains no animal products. And it is a well made football at a great price. This is because Alive and Kicking’s Gunia ball is made from recycled maize sacks.

The Gunia ball is a good solid ball that won’t let you down during a match and it’s hand-stitched with Alive and Kicking’s eye for detail and craftsmanship.

We know of one young man who thinks his Alive and Kicking ball far too good for a casual kick about and instead keeps it on a shelf, waiting for a worthy game.

We’re also keen on their worthy cause, creating stable jobs with fair pay, sick leave, paid holiday and pension schemes. The company has added over half a million pounds to the economies of Ghana, Kenya and Nigeria, where 99% of Alive and Kicking’s workforce are employed.

Size 1 football made from upcycled maize sacks, by hand in Kenya.

The logo is silk-screen printed onto locally sourced leather.

Every panel is stitched by hand by Alive & Kicking's highly skilled staff – who all receive a fair wage in order to support their families.
