Hjarta Wild Rose & Rhubarb soap bar

£5.50

Wild roses and rhubarb are “abundant” on their islands, say the Shetland Soap Company. And if that doesn’t make you want to head north and run far and fast under the midnight sun then nothing will.

That said, the Hjarta soap is an easier way of capturing that midsummer madness, being fragranced with both - it’s also vegan friendly and paraben free.

Shetland Soap Company is - as you may guess - named after the island they are based on and several of the staff have autism or learning disabilities. All of their products are handmade and hand packaged.

The Hjarta range isn’t too rosey, we found. We love roses, but, in the wrong hands, the scent can get cloying. This rose is wild and fresh and sharpened by the rhubarb.

Shetland Soap Company’s team is truly exceptional - each bottle of liquid soap is hand mixed, hand poured and hand labelled. Each bar of cold pressed soap is hand-mixed, hand-cut, hand-trimmed and hand-wrapped.

All the products are handmade in their small production area in Lerwick, a stone’s throw away from the sea.

100g soap bar, wrapped in glassine paper.

Ingredients: Sodium palmate, Sodium cocoate, Theobroma cacao, Parfum, Glycerin, Limonene, Amyl cinnamic aldehyde, Lyral, Linalol, Metyl ionene, +/-CL77891, +/-CL77491, +/-CL77492
