Signature WASaBED beach clean bag

£20.00

The clue is in the name. It was a bed, it’s now a bag designed for collecting rubbish from the shore. You might decide it's too nice for that and use it for your shopping.

This social enterprise is based in the Scottish Highlands and is run by ecologist Cory and artist Mandy - who both bring their talents and ethics to the cause.

The bag is made entirely from recycled bedding: hotels and the like throw out hundreds of tonnes of bedding every year. Mandy uses the bedding from her small bed and breakfast.

WasABed are the embodiment of thinking globally and acting locally. The two founders were horrified by the plastic - everything from fishing nets to toothbrushes  - they would see washed up on the shore.

Recycling the bedding from the B&B is the beginning of trying to create a circular economy where nothing is really thrown away.

The two hope you will use the bag to pick up plastic on your own beach walks. We’re game.

Made in Scotland by hand by Wasabed from recycled used bed linen, including MacKleeners Laundry in Fort William.
