Honey shouldn’t be a standardised product. It should taste of the flowers that produced it and the soil and weather conditions that produced them. Bermondsey Street Bees understand this: all of their honeys come from a single source and from hives where the bees are encouraged to thrive and not just produce ever-higher honey yields. In fact, they know so much about good bee keeping that they contribute to global bee research and advise businesses and governments.

This taster pack allows you to spot and enjoy the differences between two country honeys and one London honey.

Honey, we think, is in need of the kind of reevaluation that coffee and chocolate have had. There are as many different flavours as there are plants with pollen. With Bermondsey Street Bees, you can explore the different tastes. 

We aren’t the only people who think this: the organisation also supply honey to chefs from five star hotels and Michelin starred restaurants. 

Then there’s the work they do helping others to understand why we need bees so badly (according to Greenpeace, over 90 per cent of the world’s food is pollinated by bees). Bermondsey Street Bees run workshops on bee keeping and biodiversity and give a portion of their profits to bee-based charities.
