Farawee The Sheep

This is Farawee. Farawee is a sheep and has us all totally charmed. He’s a very cute sheep and, standing at 18cm tall, somewhat bigger than you might imagine from the photo.

Farawee is made by Syrian refugees living in Turkey and is based on a creature from Syrian folklore. It is crocheted from GOTS-certified organic cotton.

This little sheep is safe for babies and will arrive tucked up in a cotton bag.

Farawee comes to us via Made 51, an organisation that is dedicated to promoting the craft skills of refugees. Their partner organisation Bebemoss allows women to use those skills to support their families whilst also working from home. Everyone receives a Fair Trade-wage and has the freedom to set their own hours. 

The toys made by Bebemoss are created to be hugable and sustainable, keeping the next generation in mind in every way. 

Hight of 18cm. Made from organic cotton and hypoallergenic polyfill made from recycled bottles.
