Darning egg

£30.00
Socko pretty much encourage you not to buy their socks. At least, not more than once. And here is the proof: a darning egg, complete with a swatch of wool and a needle. All the better to repair your Socko (or other) socks with.

The eggs are handmade from reclaimed beech wood and oiled with food-standard hemp oil.

We love Socko because this is proper ‘money where your mouth is’ stuff, not green wash from a fast fashion brand. How many other clothing makers want you to repair what you have instead of buying more? And we can’t think of a single other one who supplies you with the needle, thread and some instructions to make doubly sure you give darning the holes your best shot.

The hole in your sock might be a very small thing, but it represents a seismic shift in thinking and we’re happy to stand shoulder to shoulder, foot to foot, with them on this one.

Measures approximately 8cm in height and 5cm in width.
