British Winter honey

£7.50
In the winter, the bees who made this honey forage on ivy growing on Salisbury Plain. And it’s that diet that produces this unique honey. Honey made from ivy sets in the jar to a crumbly fudge-like consistency. It is fresh, herbal and almost menthol-tasting with a sweet, ripe finish. It’s a perfect companion to hot buttered toast. And it’s also won a Great Taste Award.

Every jar of honey produced by the Black Bee collective is stamped with the UK location it was produced in, the name of the bee keeper and the ‘total activity’, that is the level of antimicrobal properties preset in that batch. And 2% of every sale goes towards plating wildflower meadows for the next generations of bees.

We love that Black Bee Honey think in circles. They need bees. Bees need flowers. Therefore Black Bee Honey will plant more wildflowers. That’s a simplistic look at what they do: the wildflower meadows created benefit all pollinators and help increase Britain’s biodiversity.

Additionally, each jar of honey is carbon neutral and entirely produced in the UK.

Honey from Black Bee Honey is unprocessed and can set over time. If it does, warm gently to reliquefy. Each jar is 227g

Unsuitable for babies under 12 months.
