Traditional folding wooden clothes horse

£125.00

You may not think you need a clothes horse, but you do - especially if you live somewhere with no garden.

It might seem like a revival of something your grandmother had, but this folding clothes horse with leather hinges is no twee revival product. It will up your drying space and looks a great deal more chic than tangling with a plastic concertina rack.

Something useful that is beautifully done.

The woodworkers at Camphill Village Trust specialise in thoughtful simplicity. They are a national charity supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism. They also support several of their service users “to discover the unique skills and talents everyone has” and then to start creating, making and learning.

The items produced are utilitarian, but have that pleasing ‘just right’ look. The homeware equivalent of the perfect white t-shirt.

Materials: reclaimed or native softwood; leather hinges, made of vegetable tanned cow hide

The clothes horse is 8.5cm deep when folded, and 62cm wide, by 98cm tall.

The bottom strut is 15cm from the ground.
