Trill on the Hill produce simple and effective beauty products based around key natural ingredients. Plants are harvested seasonally and the products are made by hand in small batches.
The Trills are sisters Tamsin and Lara Fraser and their mother, Romy Fraser. Romy was the founder of the pioneering Neal’s Yard, so thoughtful, organic products are in the family blood.
The Hill is 30 acres of woodland and other biodiverse habitats on the Jurassic Coast. It’s where they harvest their ingredients and host wild camping in summer, but it’s also a place where nature takes the lead and owls and bats are a more important measure of success than any spreadsheet.
Why they are different
The products from Trill on the Hill show how effective the combination of beauty product knowledge and plant knowledge can be. Everything in their carefully considered range boosts local ingredients to a level where they can compete with global brands.
Why they are kind
In addition to their careful stewardship of their land, Trill on the Hill regularly work with charity The Big Leaf Foundation to run workshops with displaced Afghani women. They say that each session is “full of energy, bustle, smiles and chat and every week connections are made.”
