Every product from ARTHOUSE is an original. Individual artists work with instructors to create designs, which are then sold as one-off fine art pieces or used to decorate gifts and homeware.
Founder Becky Sheraidah was depressed by how little the creativity of people with disabilities was valued “making pom poms or glueing tissue paper and everything being thrown away at the end of the day.” Fired up, she began working with the residents of The Meath Epilepsy Charity determined to show there was a better way.

Why they are different:
Not a pom pom in sight. There’s a baroque lushness to ARTHOUSE’s gift range. Soap boxes and chocolate wrappers glow with gold, framing scenes of birds and plants and faces with expressive, stylised eyes. These, friends, are the Faberge eggs of the fancy soap world.
Why they are kind:
Look, it shouldn’t need saying - we know that, you know that - but the world still puts limits on people with learning disabilities, people still patronise. Not ARTHOUSE. They know people require support at differing levels, but that skilled and creative work has worth whatever the producer’s other needs. “There’s a need to change values and perceptions towards people who live with varying difficulties,” says Becky.
