Oyin Okusanya used to think she didn’t like dark chocolate, but a tasting at a workshop made her rethink. She fell deep into a chocolate obsession and began to make her own. Cocoa Social was born.
Every Cocoa Social product is made from scratch. Cocoa beans arrive at Oyin’s workshop in Barking and chocolate bars leave. And nothing artificial is added along the way: the bars are sweetened with fruit and unrefined cane sugar.
Oyin also runs workshops for families, talking about nutrition and leading a healthy lifestyle - one that good quality chocolate can be a part of.
Why they are different
This is premium stuff, with great care taken over every ingredient. There are no shortcuts with stabilisers or other additives.
Why they are kind
Cocoa Social buys their beans directly from farmers, not from dealers, in Nigeria, Ecuador and Peru, paying a fair premium price. They build ongoing relationships with their suppliers, even going as far as helping them to educate their children.
