Shades Of Blue linen napkins

£12.00
We've handpicked three 'shades of blue', from white to deepest indigo. These beautiful napkins will only get better with age and make a classic addition to any table.

They are made in Jaipur, India, where Nila House is based and works with communities of craftspeople. Nila House wants to keep traditional skills alive and allow makers to earn a decent living from their work. Their commitment to natural dyes also reduces pollution.

Nila House was founded in 2019 by Carole Bamford. She was working in India and realised that there were craft communities who were struggling because of a lack of tools and lack of access to people who wanted to buy their products. The Nila House project was the result.

Many of their items are dyed with indigo (Nila means blue in Sanskrit), so when all of their work is viewed en masse the effect is incredibly soothing.
