DifferentMade

DifferentMade is our own brand. Sometimes we would look and look for a product and couldn’t find one that hit the spot. We might have not found a match in terms of design, smell or taste, but equally we may not have found a maker who was passionate about changing the world, about creating a social impact as well as a great product. 

So we decided we would make our own products. With some help from other people.

When we were coming up with the concept for DifferentMade, we knew it had to live up to our values. That’s why every one of our own-brand products is created in collaboration with another producer. We would never countenance anything made in a distant, uncheckable factory. We wanted to use the Different Made range to give more business to socially-minded producers. 

We also want to be transparent about that and name the people we have chosen to work with. The products have not been made for us; they are the result of a collaborative process and our partners deserve the recognition. 

Every producer also has a measurable social impact and we hope that by working with us on Different Made they will be able to grow, by increasing their business and in terms of the difference they make in the wider world.

We have had enormous fun creating Different Made products and we’re always thinking of new ideas to expand the range. There’s a different way of making things, and we hope you enjoy it as much as you do.
