Dove Napkin
These beautiful napkins are part of our own-brand range, DifferentMade and are made in collaboration with the illustrative talents of Scribble and Daub and the fabric and embroidery knowledge of Threads of Hope.
We started thinking about these napkins because of the popularity of a particular Scribble and Daub card with a dove design. We knew this dove would also fly happily in a different setting.
We worked with Threads of Hope, a Cairo organisation who provide training and employment for marginalised women in Egypt.
Made from linen and in a generous, lap-covering, size we love these napkins and we know they’ll look good on your dinner table too.
Different Made is our own brand and, when we were coming up with the concept, we knew it had to live up to our values.
That’s why every Different Made product is created in collaboration with another producer. And we wanted to be transparent about that and name the people we have chosen to work with. Every producer also has a measurable social impact and we hope that by working with us on Different Made they will be able to grow, by increasing their business and in terms of the difference they make in the wider world.
Scribble & Daub is the both a business and a creative project, set up by illustrator Caroline Kent. Giving back is a core part of the Scribble and Daub world and each project gives to a different charity.
Threads of Hope are based on Cairo, Egypt. They work with marginalised women, both refugees and locals, to teach embroidery skills that will lead to future employment.
