Fifield Road Apothecary
Small-batch beauty made from foraged plants
- Location The Cotswolds
- Working on Creating ethical beauty products with profits going to a non-profit tree planting organisation.
Leslie Jowett Astor has put her knowledge of the plants surrounding her family’s regenerative farm in the Cotswolds to good use. Fifield Road Apothecary’s products are made in small batches with all-natural ingredients, some foraged, some ethically sourced.
American Leslie moved to the Cotswolds to the farm where her English husband grew up in 2012. She had been making cold-pressed soap, balms, syrups, salves and tinctures for over a decade before starting Fifield Road Apothecary in 2018.
Although there’s both science and long-held folk wisdom behind the Fifield products, we also think it feels gloriously witchy and wise to heal a cut, or take down a blemish, using just the power of plants.
Why they are different:
All of Fifield’s products are entirely natural and scented with steam-distilled essential oils. Even the gorgeous colours are made with powdered botanical ingredients or natural clays. The labour-intensive production means the batches are small, but each purchase is worth it. The Flower Power First Aid Healing Balm is one of our best sellers.
