Raw London honey

£12.25
This gorgeous honey is from our own brand, Different Made, in collaboration with Bees & Refugees. The honey is produced in small batches and it isn’t blended - meaning the honey in your jar will all come from one community of bees and will always be of exceptional quality.

Bees & Refugees work with displaced people, using bee keeping to help migrants deal with trauma and build communities. They also establish colonies of black bees, an endangered species native to the UK.

Different Made is our own brand and, when we were coming up with the concept, we knew it had to live up to our values. That’s why every Different Made product is created in collaboration with another producer. And we wanted to be transparent about that and name the people we have chosen to work with. Every producer also has a measurable social impact and we hope that by working with us on Different Made they will be able to grow, by increasing their business and in terms of the difference they make in the wider world.

For our honey, we approached Bees & Refugees. Ali Alzein lived in Syria before coming to the UK. He founded Bees & Refugees in 2019 after leaving a job in the luxury fashion industry. Working with the bees helped him deal with panic and anxiety attacks and he knew fellow migrants could also benefit.
