Citrus Grove candle
Our plain white candles are made from rapeseed oil, sourced in Europe, and our own distinct blends of essential oils. They are made by hand and have a burn time of approximately 40 hours.
The Citrus Grove fragrance (or Yellow, as we call it when we are forgetful or rushed) smells of lemon, geranium and patchouli, of life amongst the trees, high in the Spanish mountains with nothing but blue sky above.
Different Made is our own brand and, when we were coming up with the concept, we knew it had to live up to our values.
That’s why every Different Made product is created in collaboration with another producer. And we wanted to be transparent about that and name the people we have chosen to work with. Every producer also has a measurable social impact and we hope that by working with us on Different Made they will be able to grow, by increasing their business and in terms of the difference they make in the wider world.
For our candles, we chose to work with Real Inspiration. Real Inspiration are a Hertfordshire-based organisation who use arts and crafts to promote good mental health. They offer workshops everyone from primary-aged children, to people in their 80s. They also train adults and young people in textile, soap and candle-making, helping them to overcome barrier to employment or education. Real Inspiration know that these barriers are different from person to person and that each trainee needs to be approached as an individual.
Our candles are handmade with essential oils (lemon, geranium and patchouli) and sustainable rapeseed wax from Europe. They are phthalate and paraben free.
They are vegan-friendly and nothing has been tested on animals.
Each candle has a burn time of around 40 hours. They are 9.5cm in height and 8cm in diameter.
The packaging is made in the UK and printed using vegetable inks.
