Nauseni was founded in Nepal by Wilatluk following the 2015 earthquake. Many women didn’t want handouts, but wished to rebuild their lives through meaningful work.
Now, Nauseni empowers women by developing and adding value to traditional craft skills. The slippers are designed to be sold to a global audience who the women can now reach. The colours and techniques though, couldn’t be from anywhere else but Nepal.
The felting techniques and natural materials meaning you will have cool feet in the summer and cosy toes in the winter.
Why they are different
The slippers are handcrafted from 100% wool felt, with Himalayan buffalo suede leather soles which can be handwashed and dried in the sun. Their design is modern and minimalist, perfect for those who are usually slipper-averse.
Why they are kind
After two years working on product and design, Nausini is now a socially responsible business, providing work that women can do in their own communities.
