Botanical Quilt
Hand-quilted by skilled women’s groups in Rajasthan, this quilt is made from the finest naturally dyed cotton weaves sourced from West Bengal. Each piece is crafted using traditional weaving and dyeing methods meaning no two quilts are ever the same. The subtle variations and unique textures celebrate the beauty of artisan craft and natural materials.
Nila House was born from a simple idea: to support struggling craft communities in India by connecting their extraordinary skills with people who truly appreciate them. Founded in 2019 by Carole Bamford, the project celebrates slow, soulful making. With many pieces dyed using indigo (the meaning of Nila in Sanskrit) the collection carries a serene, calming presence, perfect for your home.
Nila House was founded in 2019 by Carole Bamford. She was working in India and realised that there were craft communities who were struggling because of a lack of tools and lack of access to people who wanted to buy their products. The Nila House project was the result.
Many of their items are dyed with indigo (Nila means blue in Sanskrit), so when all of their work is viewed en masse the effect is incredibly soothing.
Organic cotton and indigo dye.
