Hjarta wild rose & rhubarb hand wash

£10.00

'Hjarta’ means ‘from the heart’ and the heady combination of Shetland’s most prolific of plants – rhubarb and wild rose - is divine. The deep floral tones are reminiscent of a long summer evening when, that far north, the sun merely dips from sight.

Shetland Soap Company work alongside adults with learning disabilities and autism to produce a range of exclusive handmade soap and skincare products that are inspired by their beautiful islands.

Great products, great people.

The Hjarta range isn’t too rosey, we found. We love roses, but, in the wrong hands, the scent can get cloying. This rose is wild and fresh and sharpened by the rhubarb.

Shetland Soap Company’s team is truly exceptional - each bottle of liquid soap is hand mixed, hand poured and hand labelled. Each bar of cold pressed soap is hand-mixed, hand-cut, hand-trimmed and hand-wrapped.

All the products are handmade in their small production area in Lerwick, a stone’s throw away from the sea.
