Canvas Cylinder Bag

Meet the canvas cylinder bag. Designed to be the perfect size for a bottle of wine, a bunch of flowers or a top up grocery shop. The cylindrical shape keeps things upright and easy to reach, while the wide cotton handle is made to be sturdy and supportive. 

Inside, there’s a small pocket to stop keys and loose essentials disappearing into the bottom.

It’s made by Re-wrap from heavy organic cotton canvas, grown without pesticides. Each bag is produced by women in southern India, creating stable, fairly paid employment as part of a transparent and ethical supply chain.

A bag that’s simple, thoughtful and made to be used every day, again and again.

Different Made is our own brand and, when we were coming up with the concept, we knew it had to live up to our values. 

That’s why every Different Made product is created in collaboration with another producer. And we wanted to be transparent about that and name the people we have chosen to work with. Every producer also has a measurable social impact and we hope that by working with us on Different Made they will be able to grow, by increasing their business and in terms of the difference they make in the wider world. 

The Re-wrap association create seed-to-shop, reusable cotton goods, produced ethically by female artisans in rural southern India, supporting the women to gain sustainable and long-term employment through the development of textile skills. The cotton used is on the way to being certified as organic (it takes five years of being pesticide-free to be officially organic), meaning the cotton farming communities the re-wrap association work with also reap extra benefits in terms of health and soil quality.
