Breathe organic herbal tea blend

Hackney Herbal’s blended teas are unexpectedly pretty. “They look like dried flowers,” we said to each other. Which shouldn’t have been a surprise, as each tea is quite literally made from dried flowers and herbs, but ‘pretty’ isn’t where you would normally go with tea. Hey ho. You live and learn.

The Breathe blend is a savoury mixture for colds, sore throats and an immune system boost. Echinacea can shorten the duration of a cold and sage is antiseptic and is a useful herb for sore throats and mouth ulcers. It also contains peppermint. Which tastes nice.

It’s brilliant and fascinating, what Hackney Herbal do. Their herbal products are all produced from plants growing in community gardens around east London. They use the proceeds to work with the people in the area, bringing them together to share herb knowledge and experience the mental and physical benefits of group gardening outside.
