Fancy a taste of sunshine? Or an Italian Christmas? This bar does both. It's crafted with Single Estate 35% cacao from fine flavour cocoa beans grown at the renowned "El Rosario" farm in Colombia’s Necoclí region.
More chocolate makers are looking at their supply chains and turning their attention to slavery, but UP-UP have gone several extra miles. They deal directly with one plantation and one processor, cutting out many middle layers and making it easier to guarantee that each workplace is slave-free. They also get an independent body, the NGO slavefreetrade, to visit and talk to workers.
So, yes, they make glorious chocolate, but we’re also pleased we can amplify their message and help them advocate for change.
