Vent For Change
- Location Bristol
- Working on Global education for children, reducing waste and reusable products
Is there anything (literally anything) quite as satisfying as a new notebook? With it’s implied promises of finally writing that novel, taking up sketching again or just finally getting your shit together and not forgetting to buy bay leaves literally every time you go to the supermarket. The only way your new book could have any more sheen is by knowing that it’s helping someone else out too.
So what do they do? First off, Vent use recycled materials across all their ranges. But, most importantly, they’ve also dedicated 10% of every sale to helping children’s education projects worldwide. They’re currently working with the charity Plan International UK to help fund education projects in Pakistan, Uganda and Vietnam.
So when you pick up a pencil, know that you are helping someone else do exactly the same thing.
Why they are different?
Vent for Change are on the right side of a fine line. Many stationery designers feel the need to over decorate, or at least decorate as if their only market is one of over-sugared pre-teens. Not so, Vent, who combine prettiness and style. We’re especially keen on the recycled leather of their Make A Mark range.
Why they are kind?
What we think makes Vent special is the fact they are giving 10% of every sale to Plan International, meaning far more money goes to the right places. Vent is a giving arm of a group called Everything Environmental Limited.
