Incredible prints and books from an incredible community space
- Location Glasgow
- Working on Creating a safe space to create prints and books which the profits of go towards tackling loneliness and isolation
Glasgow’s Wild & Kind Studios is a space for women and those who identify outside the gender binary. They offer garment printing services, risograph printing, access to equipment and workshops and advice on making a career in the creative industries.
We’re in love with their handmade notebooks, made with juicy colours and bold designs. They’re also made with recycled paper and FSC certified card.
All Wild & Kind’s inks are plastic free. They can use soy based solutions because they use risograph, a spot-based printing technique that was developed in Japan in the 1980s and lends itself well to plant-based inks
Why they are different
It’s the level of thought behind each product. The dyslexia notebook, for example, is designed with the needs of dyslexics and those with ADHD in mind, using a mixture of differently coloured pages, lined, blank and dotted sections.
Why they are kind
They describe themselves as a ‘profit for purpose’ organisation and all of their profits go towards tackling loneliness and isolation for people with marginalised gender identities.
