Qith the Cat
A creature of comfort with a story to tell.
This heart-warming crocheted toy is inspired by a symbolic character from Syrian folklore. Lovingly made by Syrian refugees living in Turkey, it’s crafted using GOTS-certified organic cotton. It's soft to the touch, gentle on the planet and full of meaning.
Part of the MADE51 collection, this toy is more than just a cuddle worthy companion. It’s a powerful expression of culture, resilience, and hope, offering meaningful work and fair income to the skilled hands that made it.
Because when someone is forced to flee, tradition often becomes their most valuable belonging. Projects like this help keep that heritage alive and give us something beautiful in return.
Qith comes to us via Made 51, an organisation that is dedicated to promoting the craft skills of refugees. Their partner organisation Bebemoss allows women to use those skills to support their families whilst also working from home. Everyone receives a Fair Trade-wage and has the freedom to set their own hours.
The toys made by Bebemoss are created to be hugable and sustainable, keeping the next generation in mind in every way.
Made from organic cotton and hypoallergenic polyfill made from recycled bottles.
These products are handmade and there will be slight variations in shape, size, and colour.
