Ethiopian hand towels

£22.50

These soft, soft towels pass through several sets of hands before drying yours. The Ethiopian cotton is hand spun, then hand woven and then the towels are finished with a hand-tied fringe in a textile studio in Addis Ababa.

The cotton used will become softer and more absorbent with every wash, so they just keep on getting better.

Qäsa Qäsa work with artisans and craftspeople all over East Africa to produce homewares that are as well made as they are beautiful. The designs favoured by founders Aniqa and Naeema are bold, simple and exquisite to look at.

The towels are woven by artisans at their workshop in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, surrounded by greenery and away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The pieces we’ve chosen are only the start of what they have to offer.

100% cotton, dyed using local plants and herbs such as dried marigold flowers and pomegranate husks. The hand spun cotton adds a unique texture that will continue to soften and become more absorbent with each wash.

Care: Machine wash in cold water | Tumble dry on low | Iron | Do not bleach
