Honey & Co Christmas Cake in a Tin

£45.00

This is a cake packed with the smells and tastes of Christmas and it’s an exclusive, made only for between Different Kind by Honey & Co.

The cake is full of dates, ginger, rum, cinnamon and cardamom. Our Christmas cake makers, Honey & Co. specialise in pan-Middle Eastern food, across their restaurants, cafes and cookbook. So they’re used to a date and a pinch or two of spice.

These days, ingredients like these, the ones that won’t grow in the wet British climate, are common in our weeknight meals and weekend cocktails. But track back to a Tudor Christmas, or a Victorian one and these items were precious goods and only on the menu for big celebrations.

We love that this cake blends the idea of Christmas past with the ingredients we love on our modern tables.

And it comes in it’s own tin, making it a perfect present and keeping it fresh until the middle of January.

We’ve collaborated with Honey & Co. for previous Christmases and, as they have done before, they will donate money from the sales of this cake to Burnt Chef.

Burnt Chef is a charity who support the mental health of those who work in the high-pressure and often insecure hospitality industry. For every cake sold, Burnt Chef will receive £7.50.
