Grey cotton socks

£12.00

Thick, warm and antibacterial - there’s something about a deeply practical sock that moves us. After all, there’s nothing quite like the misery of wet toes.

This pair, in grey twisted cotton from Stand4Socks, have an added bonus. For every pair you buy, another pair will be donated to someone who is currently homeless. Socks are some of the most requested items in shelters, so Stand4Socks decided to make the most suitable sock they could.

So it’s a feel-good sock in two ways.

Stand For Socks founder Josh Turner is our kind of dreamer - asking ‘what if socks could change the world?’. We’re with you Josh. If you can revolutionise the every day then bigger things will surely follow.

We also appreciate that when thinking of giving socks to homeless people, instead of just offloading a load of deadstock and calling it a good deed, Josh and the team asked shelters what would be most appropriate and then listened to their advice. Sometimes, it’s the simplest actions that impress.

Materials: 80% Twisted cotton, 18% Polyamide, 2% Elastane; yarns are Oeto-Tex certified sourced free from harmful chemicals & environmental practices. organic or responsible wool standard (RWS).

The donated socks: black and grey to show less wear, thick full terry cotton for warmth and last but not least, soaked in antibacterial so they don't need to be changed as often.

Wash your Stand4's on a 40°C wash. Never tumble dry your socks.
