Linen basket

£85.00
Hogla is a kind of seagrass and it’s often used for weaving in Bangladesh, where this basket was made.

And this basket takes a whole lotta holga, standing at over half a metre tall. It’s sturdy, but lovely to look at and makes a great storage solution for all the items you’d like to be (temporarily) out of sight, but not out of mind.

We’re impressed by the durability of this basket and by the versatility. And we’re always looking for storage solutions, so that’s a win.

The other winners are the women in Bangladesh who make them, using traditional craft skills to create these very contemporary products. All of Maison Bengal’s products are produced in conjunction with three fair trade organisations, using locally grown materials. They provide steady work, helping to lift women and their families out of poverty.

All are products are handmade and measurements may vary slightly.

Height: 60cm

Diameter at base: 47cm
