Salted caramel chocolate bar

£4.75

A gorgeous milk chocolate with strong sweet caramel and flavourful hits of salt, the cocoa beans for this bar are Single Estate and grown on the El Rosario plantation on the north-eastern coast of Colombia.

All of UP-UP’s chocolate is made without using enslaved people and without child labour.

More chocolate makers are looking at their supply chains and turning their attention to slavery, but UP-UP have gone several extra miles. They deal directly with one plantation and one processor, cutting out many middle layers and making it easier to guarantee that each workplace is slave-free. They also get an independent body, the NGO slavefreetrade, to visit and talk to workers.

So, yes, they make glorious chocolate, but we’re also pleased we can amplify their message and help them advocate for change.
