The Clink tea towel

£7.50

Doesn’t it look like the kind of tea towel a Parisian waiter would throw over his shoulder before pointedly ignoring you? Look closer you’ll see the word woven into the border is ‘clink’. Because this tea towel is actually part of the range served up by The Clink restaurant which is based in HMP Brixton (with two more branches in HMP High Down and HMP Styal).

Each Clink is staffed by the prisoners and you can visit them for bistro classics, but they also produce homewares with a twist, like this cotton towel.

The Clink Restaurant at HMP Brixton is staffed entirely by the prisoners who are working towards gaining their City & Guilds NVQs in Food & Beverage Service, Professional Cookery and Food Hygiene.

The standard of the food and the service is high and we’re keen to support such a positive project. Especially when we get tea towel based on a design classic.

White and blue cotton; restaurant grade.
