Dark Sea Salt chocolate bar

£4.75
Think of everything you would want from a bar of dark sea salt chocolate and amplify it. It’s creamy, it has complex and subtle flavours and it’s made with beans from just one farm, El Rosario, in the Necocl region of Columbia.

All of UP-UP’s chocolate is made without using enslaved people and without child labour - and the companies who can say that for certain are fewer than you think.

More chocolate makers are looking at their supply chains and turning their attention to slavery, but UP-UP have gone several extra miles. They deal directly with one plantation and one processor, cutting out many middle layers and making it easier to guarantee that each workplace is slave-free. They also get an independent body, the NGO slavefreetrade, to visit and talk to workers.

So, yes, they make glorious chocolate, but we’re also pleased we can amplify their message and help them advocate for change.

Ingredients: Sugar, cocoa mass, cocoa butter, emulsifier: sunflower lecithin, sea salt (<1%), and vanilla extract.

Suitable for vegans.
