War and Peace

£450.00

Whatever our dearest wishes, conflict still rages around the globe and ordinary lives are still being shattered. This special collection is entirely made up of items produced by people who have been disrupted by war. From Palestine, from Ukraine, from Syria, from Afghanistan, these skilled creators are working to build and not to destroy.

Every item we sell is made by a producer dedicated to changing the world for the better. Here’s how your gift is making a difference.

Florists Bread & Roses work with refugee women in a supportive environment, helping them to gain skills and forge new networks.

The Chernobyl Spirit Company’s drinks are high quality (and safe) spirits made from crops harvested near Chernobyl. At least 75% of profits go to helping rebuild communities in Ukraine impacted first by Chernobyl and now by the war.

The founders of candle company Vira were set to launch in Kyiv in 2022. Instead, following the Russian invasion, they relocated to Manchester to stay with host families and launched in the UK. Their business is a testament to resilience.

Love Welcomes create employment for refugees whilst also providing and creating support networks.
