Every item we sell is made by a producer dedicated to changing the world for the better. Here’s how your gift is making a difference. 

Working for Maison Bengal means women in rural Bangladesh have jobs that not only value traditional craft skills, but also can be done from home and fit around childcare.

Fat Macy’s is a social enterprise helping young people who don’t have secure accommodation. They run a restaurant and provide catering for events, training workers in kitchen, front-of-house and marketing skills. 

Chantal Cody operates as The Chocolate Detective and her operating model aims to keep more of the business of chocolate, and therefore more of the money, in the country’s where the beans originate.

Sustainable chocolate makers Chocolarder source their beans from slave-free producers, use no plastic and are creating year-round jobs in Cornwall. 

Florists Bread & Roses work with refugee women in a supportive environment, helping them to gain skills and forge new networks. 

Bristol bakery Step and Stone work with young adults who have learning disabilities, helping them into employment.

Zaytoun is an ethical business established to support marginalised farming communities in Palestine.

Goldfinger work with waste wood and are committed to working with young people who live near their studio, providing training and apprenticeships to those not currently in education or employment. 

The family-run winery on the Wiston Estate is committed to biodiversity and creating as little waste as possible, often using older methods of farming to achieve their goals. 

Many of the workers on the Forty Hall estate are volunteers from the local community. Many people find Forty Hall via social prescribing, where an activity is recommended by a doctor.

Social Shrub are fighting against waste. All of their ingredients have been collected from businesses and would otherwise be thrown away. 

The GlenWyvis distillery is 100 per cent owned by the surrounding community and runs on renewable energy.

Qasa Qasa work with artisans and craftspeople all over East Africa to preserve traditional skills and communities by helping makers to access new markets for their work. 

In Oxford, Yellow Submarine run a bakery,  providing training, support and entertainment to people with learning difficulties.

The Comunità San Patrignano in Rimini, Italy, works with young people with drug problems, helping them to conquer addiction and gain skills and confidence. 

The Atomik Spirit Company started as a science education and environmental project based around the Chernobyl area of Ukraine. Following the Russian invasion, they now use their profits to help displaced Ukrainian people. 

Fruits of the Forage collect fruit from old hedgerows and abandoned orchards. Their aim is to prevent food waste, but also to encourage biodiversity and preserve Britain's farming traditions.

The founders of candle company VIra were set to launch in Kyiv in 2022. Instead, following the Russian invasion, they relocated to Manchester to stay with host families and launched in the UK. Their business is a testament to resilience. 

Craft chocolate maker Ocelot make sure to pay the cacao growers who supply them a 100% living income, as well as supporting farming education via the Original Beans School and supporting regenerative forestry. 

The brass Christmas decorations from Pivot are made by people who are currently homeless, helping them to turn their lives around. 

Celebrated London restaurant group Honey & Co. provide us with incredible cakes, each of which supports Burnt Chef who provide mental health support for people in the hospitality industry. 

DifferentMade is our own brand where we collaborate with smaller producers. Our jam and our piccalilli are made in conjunction with Aunty Val’s Ability Centre. Everything within their organisation has been designed to give people with disabilities the opportunity to work. The honey is made by Bees & Refugees who use beekeeping to help displaced people deal with trauma. The candles are produced by Real Inspiration who provide craft-based workshops and training in a therapeutic environment. And the vegan honeycomb is made by Grace Chocolates in Scotland who help women who have interacted with the justice system.

Wiston Estate Cuvee 2016 - 12% ABV. Grapes: 55% Pinot Noir, 33% Chardonnay, 12% Pinot Meunier. It has aromas of baked apple tart, with notes of baked pears too and a creamy pastry base. A touched of spiced honey is balanced by brisk acidity and a touch of salinity—making the finish long and balanced.

Winston Blanc de blanc NV - 100% Chardonnay. 750ml. 12% ABV. Tasting notes: Delightfully fresh with vibrant acidity and impeccable balance. Crisp green apple notes alongside white blossom, grapefruit and lemon zest. Delicate notes of kumquat are leading the way with flinty minerality with a hint of patisserie softness. The wine finishes crisp, clean and refreshing.

Forty Hall Sparkling Brut 2019 - 12% ABV. Grapes: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Certified Organic. Natural and unfiltered. Vegan. A golden hue reveals expressive aromas and defined flavours of citrus testiness, ripe orchard apples and Comice pears with a touch of fruit salad. Two years lees ageing lends further pastry and brioche notes to the mid palate. 

Forty Hall Ortega 2023 - Certified Organic, Natural and unfiltered, Vegan, 11% ABV.  Medium bodied, zesty, crisp and fruity. 750ml.

Glen Wyvis Whisky - Batch 01/19. 46.5% ABV. 4 years aged. Tasting Notes: Nose - Sweet grape and honeysuckle blossom. Palate - Bramley apple sauce and fruit crumble. Finish - Long, unmistakable oak with dark chocolate and clove. 700ml.

San Patrigiano 'Avi' Sangiovese Superiore Riserva DOC 2019 Red Wine -  100% Sangiovese. 13.5% ABV. 750ml. Tasting notes: Garnet red colour. The bouquet is broad and features hints of violet, plum and Marasca cherry. The palate is elegant, with the structure and velvety tannins of Sangiovese typical of our terroir. The pleasant sapidity leaves a finish with inviting hints of fruits of the forest, leather and liquorice. 18 months aged in oak barrels. 

Atomik apple spirit - 42% ABV. 500ml. 

Fruits of the Forage Sloe and Seville Orange Liqueur - 350ml. 21% ABV. 

Social Shrub - 500ml - Ingredients: Raspberries, lime, hibiscus, organic apple cider vinegar, unrefined sugar.

DifferentMade Forest Floor Green Candle - The candles are handmade with essential oils (rosewood, pine needle, bergamot, cedarwood atlas, cypress, lime, patchouli) and sustainable rapeseed wax from Europe. They are phthalate and paraben free. They are vegan-friendly and nothing has been tested on animals. Each candle has a burn time of around 40 hours. They are 9.5cm in height and 8cm in diameter. The packaging is made in the UK and printed using vegetable inks.

Goldfinger cake stand - Size: 380mm Diameter x 130mm H. CARE INSTRUCTIONS: We hope you enjoy your homeware for years to come. To take the best care of it, rinse it with warm water, wipe clean and dry immediately. Never put it in the dishwasher or leave soaking in water. Every couple of months, feed with a food-safe oil to protect the wood. Apply oil with a cloth and remove excess with a clean cloth and leave to dry for 48 hours. Do not over apply.

Bread & Roses wreath - Flowers used to construct the wreath will vary. Each one comes in a sturdy box to protect it in transit, wrapped in ethically-sourced recyclable branded tissue paper. It is normal for a dried product to shed some debris, gently tap the wreath or shake as you lift it out of the box to ensure any debris falls away. 

Zaytoun Olive Oil & Tree Donation - This was the world's first olive oil to be awarded the Fairtrade mark, paving the way for olive growers around the world.
